In N' Out

In many ways, In many lines,
It's all about getting her to the motel,
Sleazy life in tempted phases,
Partial joys of a runaway queen,
The love between two
Expressed as an unexciting love,
The war between three
Making love like this artificial.

In summer days, In the night time,
It's all about getting her to the motel,
Expenses delivered, money growing on trees,
Questions of a lover,
And she's called a whore,
No one seems to imagine
What would have happened
If you took the highroad.

Everything doctored,
Taking in control
The things we do,
The things we think is love,
We're living lies
Because we're afraid of the truth,
In any ways she wants.
Everything matters
Even if you're artificial.

What is ....
What is ....
Get her, get her,
The truth is ....
The truth is ....
Do you love you?
Is it all about getting her to the motel?

Everything In-Between

I'm happy without you,
When the truth collides
Harm can't be stopped,
You're just looking for
Someone to blame,
With no control on your life,
Constantly pissing for time,
Still the same after all these years.

Do what you want,
Do what you feel
Is fit for your needs,
Do what you will,
Stuck in a corner,
Out of touch for so long.

Coming through those doors,
Looking lost and trying to get sympathy,
Tumbling tonight,
Causing friction,
You know you always do,
You say you're not to blame,
Must have been somebody else,
It can't be you because you're innocent,
Lost in these years,
Out of touch with your feelings,
Thinking that you're a queen,
But you're nothing but a ....

Do what you please,
Just leave me out,
Do what you feel
Is fit for your needs.

Diamonds, crosses and everything in-between,
Stepped out, stubborn, something's up your sleeve,
Tuning out, marching on, filling out your void,
The heart of hearts, the lack of taste.

Roses (in December)

Summertime, likewise on the other side,
Reaching for forgiveness,
Everything erased
By your scent,
The scent of roses.

Keeping me awake at night,
Through these eyes
And your life, likewise,
Free-falling due to your scent of roses.

In the corner of the room,
All by yourself,
Writing what's on your mind,
Now I'm writing about your sweet smell.

Roses,
The scent of roses
In December,
Even in the summertime.

Roses,
The scent of roses
In December,
Even in the summertime.

The noises on-and-off in the head,
The empty bottles found by the bed,
Phones been ringing non-stop,
Laying on the floor are the roses that I've bought.

Mornings like a hangover,
Afternoons spent catching up to you,
Saying hello would be a start today,
Saying goodbye is what's on my mind.

Petals scattered on the floor,
In December,
Even in the summertime.

New York City

There's this thick air
Covering the city,
But I've got to walk,
I've got to figure this out,
Made mistakes,
Past on chances I've should have taken,
Time on my side
In this darkness,
For now, nowhere I'm heading to,
It's cold, and I'm walking,
Walking through this mess.

For now,
Nothing is clear,
In the street tonight, all alone,
Dark.

No pressure to get me to cave in,
It's midnight and it's quiet,
And everything feels perfect,
Until I go back
And realize I haven't
Figured it out,
In this heartland, where's the heart now?
If only I had all the answers,
In this night, this walk,
In this fight to get myself
Back on my feet,
All these chances.

For now,
Nothing is clear,
In the street tonight, all alone,
Dark.

I've got places to go,
I've got love letters to write,
I've got roses to smell.

I've got too much to say,
I've got nothing at all,
I've got to figure this out.

Nothing is clear,
No lights lit,
Just walking
And leaving my footsteps behind,
In the street tonight,
This ache in my heart,
The spinning in my head.

Confusion In The Dark

Her love, her disruption,
His hate, his confusion,
Missing confrontations
Because he woke up late,
Looking in, looking out,
Wondering where to hide,
Something's not right
As he held her hand,
Pushing for something other than a kiss,
Sum of all the opportunities he missed,
Working in, working out,
Leaving everyone behind.

Her sweetness, her misery,
His missing light, his pleasure,
Arriving early
Despite all the distractions,
She's living a double life,
But nobody knows,
Promiscuous and wanting it all,
Trying real hard to figure out what's wrong,
She' not determined, just selfish and cunning,
Working in, working out,
To keep everyone on her side.

Confusion in the dark,
Attempt to join these waves,
Nothing else matters,
Confusion in the dark.

We've tried to be
What others wished to see,
In plays and in private company,
We've lost and turned to sorrow,
All this time we've been transparent,
Blind to what we've done to ourselves,
Streamline,
Aching at the pit of our stomachs,
Too late for anything,
Just confused in the dark.

Written On The Wall

Somewhere someone's dying alone,
Somewhere someone's cursing at the sky,
In a tunnel where light can't be seen,
In a dark hole all alone.

Nothing but your voice keeping you alive,
Insanity being the only way to survive,
Childhood memories filtering the skies above,
No clashing, just verbal insults.

In a moment where everything feels right,
Then in a moment where everything's wrong,
The guilt residing in the veins
Making its way to the heart.

Somewhere someone's dying alone,
Somewhere someone's cursing at the sky,
Walking towards the darkness,
In a dark place.

Alive and well,
Deceived and forgotten,
Behold, therein lies your fears,
Commitment to nothing, yet it's everything.

"Greed" written on every wall of this home,
How long can you keep washing your hands
And hope to rid the evil and its intent?
Alive, alive, alive.

Somewhere someone's dying alone,
Somewhere someone's cursing at the sky,
In a tunnel where light can't be seen,
In a dark hole all alone.

Let it eat you,
Let the guilt eat you inside,
There's no winning,
Only losing.

I'll Let You Know

Seeing as this is the only way
For anything to get said and done,
All this worrying,
Intrusive and elegant,
A million words can only waste time
If you let it,
A missing piece that will never be found,
I'll let you know,
I'll let you know if I ever see it again.

Too many pictures to get through,
Hard enough to let some memories die,
We're always young at heart,
And old to stay alive forever.

Never again - again tonight,
Thinking it's alright - alright for a while,
Pain in all forms - forms that can last forever,
Pleasure and suffer - suffer being part of everything.

Through words, emotions met,
Like glancing over, and locking eyes,
In the shadow, beyond these pages,
Where we don't belong,
Cunning and spiteful,
Just like it once was,
If you're still searching,
If you're still wondering,
If it's itching,
I'll let you know,
I'll let you know if I ever see you again.

Too many memories that won't die,
Talking too much
In the night, in this cold,
To myself, to no one else.

Keeping to myself - myself, not just an image,
Killing time - time we don't have enough of,
Lost in the eyes - eyes that were mesmerizing,
Images last a lifetime - lifetime, a lifetime.

Soundless Explosions

(no instrumental sound)
Haunted by the waste that fills the heart,
Caught up with all the tragedy,
The spark that ignites them all,
The sacrifice that ignites the passion.

Haunted by deceit and contradictions,
Placed in a room without any windows,
Steel bars prevent the freedom we have fought for,
In a world where our minds can be a prison.
(/no instrumental sound)

Vices,
Destruction,
Discrimination,
Faith,
Manipulation,
Oppression.

Visions of progression,
In a land without corruption,
A dream like a light switch,
Turning off when there's nothing left.

A box filled with hopes and desires,
A loaded gun filled with hate and chaos,
The nails in our coffin hammered down,
The voices in the night silenced by the wind.

Vices,
Destruction,
Discrimination,
Faith,
Manipulation,
Oppression.

Haunted by the waste that fills the heart,
Caught up with all the tragedy,
The spark that ignites them all,
The sacrifice that ignites the passion.

(no instrumental sound)
Talking to the dead, feeling no shame,
Walking on rubble, no shelters left,
Absorbing the pain, at least there's something to do,
No sound, no sound, no sound, no sound.

Into Flames

She extends her claws in his skin,
And it's over,
He looks into her eyes and whispers,
'Glad it's over,'
The rise of smoke in the house,
And in his lungs,
Virtuous disease, imperfect sounds,
In his days,
Nevermind the ring in the distance,
It will be erased.

And if we just sit back,
And let it takeover,
Maybe it will be better,
Gone in the wind
Where everything meets,
Sun will rise
And we'll all melt away.

What lies in her eyes, in her blood,
Is poisonous for him
The heart of the matter; the hate in the eyes,
Everything pushed away,
Flames in their hearts,
In the corners of the room,
Up against the wall
With those faces rising in the smoke,
In the heart of the ones you hate, you love,
Never be the same,
The noises fade away,
And she dies young.

And if we just sit back,
And let it takeover,
Maybe it will be better,
Be better! Be better!
But if we just hold on,
And let our hopes hold strong,
Maybe it will be harder,
Gone in the wind
Where everyone meets,
Sun will set
And we'll burst into flames.

*A Vicious Cycle*

Not for desire,
Not for pleasure,
Not for anything,
Not even for you.

What am I
If I don't understand myself?
What's the use
If you continue to use me?

Not for love,
Not for money,
Not for anything,
Not even for the world.

What am I
If I don't understand myself?
What's the use
If you continue to use me?

Not for infatuation,
Not for the lies,
Not for anything,
Not even for you.

Lives are changing,
Truth facing extinction,
Pride is efficient
In making me impatient,
People at war,
Politicians are a bore,
This commitment is failing,
This love is trailing
Behind this season of disaster,
With centuries of laughter.

All for the glory,
All for nothing,
All to be the one and only,
All to live a lie,
All to be praised,
All to be remembered,
All to fall apart,
All to be resurrected.

Not for desire,
Not for pleasure,
Not for anything,
Not even for you.

Tensions (and clear deceptions)

Living with this confrontation,
Demons block the light from the people
Who seek help and forgiveness,
Maybe it's the lack of sense,
In the soul where life explodes!

This world is chaotic,
Public attractions are distractions,
People claiming to be saved
By the lies they hide deep inside.

Tensions and clear deceptions,
From those we grow up idolizing,
Hungry and riots breaking,
Laws hiding the fact that
The rich prosper and take advantage!

This world is chaotic,
Procrastination ruining this nation,
Faith ruling the wicked,
This world is out of control.

Pressure leading this life
Into panic and great frustration,
Depression working into the minds,
Will the rain wash away the pain?
Coming to build what was once destroyed,
Now we can all watch it blow up again!

This world is chaotic,
Public attractions are distractions,
People claiming to be saved
By the lies they hide deep inside.

Fade, fade, fade, fade away,
Wake, wake, wake, wake up.

*Fill Her Up*

I wrote this 2 years ago, and it is perhaps my favorite poem/lyric I have ever written. I never blogged it, but I think it is time I did. It is not my best work, but it is a little different from the rest. The last stanza is a recent addition.

Torn, left out in the open,
Morose;
She feels the pain reaching for her hand,
The lights; flickering, blinding her view,
Her status; broken and bent,
The lie in her eyes,
The pain she has been through,
A calm, a wind, the storm
Reaching for her heart,
The pain, the tension
Building within,
Everything taken;
Her freedom, her peace but not her beliefs,
Guided by the hand of God,
But now evil mingles, intertwines
Racing for her thoughts,
Corruption flows,
But it is the world she must overthrow.

Filthy,
Her skin rubbled,
Cuts wide open; blood pouring out,
Silent and left to die in the four by four cage,
Soil fills her wound;
The world turns black,
No light to be seen,
Only the precious darkness surrounds her,
She fights for her life,
She fights in denial,
Beaten; blood spiting out,
To silence her; but she ignores,
Yelling for some more;
She wants anger filling her void,
It is this world she must overthrow.

Abused,
Living with the dirt in the road,
Lights flickering, her eye twitching,
She's thinking of change,
But none shall enter her life,
Now dumped in gasoline,
The president drops a lighted match.

Burnt,
But she left the fuckers with a smile on her face,
Can't take what you can't get,
The idea, the soul, the motivation,
Soon there will be another
Fighting the lines,
Taking pain for a cause,
And soon the truth comes out,
And it is this world she overthrows.

Something Like That

It's when I hold you in my arms,
It's when you smile back at me,
That I know everything's alright,
Yeah, something like that.

It's when we can strike up quite a conversation,
About anything and debate until the morning,
That I know you're someone special,
Yeah, something like that.

It's when we can smile while we look in each others eyes,
Not a single word, yet it says so many things,
That I know I can't ever let you go without a fight,
Yeah, something like that.

It's when everything's turn to shit,
And you're the only one that can help me through it,
That I know I'd be dumb to walk away,
When the feelings burning inside,
And you know something's right when you're holding hands,
Drawing our picture with the light in the sky,
Yeah, something like that.

Something Like This

It wasn't like this,
The lightning struck twice,
And everything just fell apart,
Control was an issue,
Never really got a grip of it,
Had everything just to lose it in the end,
Couldn't figure out how to put the pieces back.

Never lost faith in my fate,
Only in you, and the things that you do.

It shouldn't have ever begun,
This warfare between two,
Allies, enemies, whoever wins
Is guilty of cheating,
Different stories make different alibis,
Words can only take you so far,
Piecing together what is left,
Too many pieces, stories of regrets,
Attempts to conciliate,
Nothing left of anything.

Never lost faith in my fate,
Only in you, and the things that you do.

What has happened wasn't my fault,
Just like old times, I'll never take the blame,
We're in the same boat,
We enjoy pointing fingers,
Makes us feel better about who we are,
Trouble in the heartland,
All about romance,
Until it falls apart,
Until it's not fun anymore.

Never lost faith in my fate,
Only in you, and the things that you do.

What love does to you
When you keep pushing and pulling,
Working on the weekends,
Conversations dying young,
Confrontations are better,
Nothing lasts forever.

Never lost faith in my fate,
Only in you, and the things that you do.

There Is Intent, Just No Connection ... Yet

This blog has been real quite for the last couple of months, but I assure you that I have written a lot (and I mean a lot) of lyrics/poems. Loads of drafts, and little satisfaction. That's how I see it. I've been structuring, and re-structuring some. Scrapping stanzas and, sometimes, chorus'.

A work of art, I guess. Well, to a certain extent. There are two poems/lyrics that should be ready to be blogged by the end of this week. If not, then they will be pushed to the next week.

I assure you that I won't be blogging all my poems/lyrics. Some are indeed drafts, while others are completed but won't be blogged. And by drafts I do not mean, a couple of lines or one stanza; I mean 80-90% done. The other 10-20% being subtle adjustments or completely not satisfied with the entire product.

Empty Room

Four walls,
Just one chair,
This empty room,
Window left open,
Now to sit and wait,
To leave all thoughts open,
Everyone likes to judge others,
But no one wants to be judged.

Leave it to me to fuck everything up,
Living a day at a time
Watching the storm heat up,
Disasters and full of blame,
Hard to resist
When you're prone to giving in,
Making mistakes
Like when we first met,
No one likes to be judged,
But sometimes someone needs to hear it.

You're the first to point the finger,
It's me, I'm always the one to blame,
Perceive and deceive,
You're always right
And I'm always wrong,
That's how it's supposed to be, right?
When one can't take it any more
He seeks other means
To fulfill that empty space in himself,
We're all to blame, aren't we?
Judging, always judging,
Don't worry, I know your vices too.

In this empty room,
Alone with these four walls
To guide me,
It's going to be a long night.

Then & Now

Pleasures and other stories
Filling my mind with just about everything,
Take a walk with me
And let the breeze take us away from here,
Smooth things out
And let the pieces fall where they may.

That was then, this is now.

You need me
More than I need you,
All those forgotten swords,
All the love lost in between,
Broken soul, fragile appearances,
The storm that keeps reviving.

This is now, that was then.

Feasting our eyes at the entertainment that presides,
Fraudulent behavior we dissuade,
Commitments we pursue then walk away,
Adjusting the rear-view mirror
To draw attention to someone else.

All those forgotten moments,
All the love lost in between,
Broken soul, fragile appearances,
What to give, how to take,
You need me
More than I need you.

No Man's Land

Past the burning homes on the boulevard,
War is in progress while the bullets come down hard,
It was believed this would never happen,
Words spit, but the pistol spoke,
One dead soaked in blood,
While the other walks away clean,
Over, and over, hearing the shots,
The window shatters, the walls crumble,
The voices haunt you forever.

It's a hunt for the best shelter,
Only safe for a short while,
You'll either die or be running to the next,
Forever lies, or be covered in ...

The dust surrounding the field of vision,
It seems like yesterday everything was bright and sunny,
But light may never be seen again,
It's cold in the hearts and in the blood,
The flesh peeling, bodies pinned and bleeding out,
Seems like yesterday was far behind,
Buildings toppled, crumbling or bombed,
Wherever you run you're in no man's land,
The images haunt you forever.

It's a hunt for the best shelter,
Only safe for a short while,
You'll either die or be running to the next,
Forever lies, or be covered in ...

No more pills,
No more syringes,
No more images,
No more taste of skin,
No more, no more.

*The Devils Grin*

The sunlight piercing through the armor,
The waves come crashing down,
Sand filling the mouths of the thieves,
When everything comes to an abrupt stop,
Never felt this cold, never knew this existed.

If the mind were this enslaved,
If the memories would fade away,
Then what's there to live for,
If it was all taken away.

Such images telling a different story,
Letters scattered on the floor of an abandoned home,
Words mean everything when there's nothing left,
Who is there to hold when everything's wrong,
The burning ground and the amount of ash,
No water to wash it all away,
Just sulfur to make it one hell of a day.

If the mind were this enslaved,
If the memories would fade away,
Then what's there to live for,
If it was all taken away.

This scene of rage and sea of red
Flashing through the early days living in hell,
Thinking of what I should have done,
Instead led by the poison of infatuation,
Incinerated, cause of defeat in every situation.

No ones there to save,
No ones there to hear your voice,
No one was ever there,
All this fiction seemed fact,
Has your fear been that elevated?

If the mind were this enslaved,
If the memories would fade away,
Then what's there to live for,
If it was all taken away.

*Better*

THIS IS MY 100TH BLOGGED LYRIC/POEM!

Pushing myself through this wave of destruction,
All we recognize is all this corruption,
The darkness in me,
The darkness in you,
We are all to blame,
I'm trying to find myself again,
I seem to have lost myself in you,
Failed to see what I could have had,
The light in the street is wearing thin,
The fire in our eyes is slowly dying,
I need to find myself before I lose myself.

Evil is getting the better of us,
I'm trying to be a better man,
I'm trying to be a better man,
Somebody come find me.

On the line to change my ways,
To be someone that I can trust,
Looking in the mirror
To see if I can recognize myself,
I figured I can do no more wrong
If I can look inside my soul,
One by one just trying to steer clear
Through the path that I have chosen,
The long walks down the road,
The memory of my heart you stole,
Fighting off the demons I see,
Young at heart and years to go,
Struggling to find a way back home.

(slowly)
Convinced that everything can be fixed,
With a gentle heart and a sweet touch,
Distance doesn't mean anything,
The hell we keep putting ourselves through,
The hearts that keep breaking,
The desire of finding oneself
No matter where life takes you,
To find a way back,
To understand.
(fade out)

Just trying,
Just trying,
Always trying,
Oh, just trying.

Better, better for me,
Better, better for you,
Going down that same road,
Similar writings on the wall,
Slipping and falling for you,
I've learned, but I guess not much,
Still stuck in the same state of mind
That was to blame all this time,
Looking for a way to get myself
Out of this hole that I've created,
Done with the long nights
Where I stayed up thinking about
Everything,
Up and away,
This crazy life and those sweet blue eyes
That always get me no matter what,
Tough luck along the way where I walk,
Finding a way to find myself again,
Because I lost myself in you, in you,
I'll keep writing everything down,
To keep track of what I love,
To keep track of the thing's I lost.

Better, better for me,
Better, better for you,
Wondering where I stand
If I just do what I'm told,
Or if I continue walking
Making decisions on my own,
Go all out, go on
Making a move to eliminate
Any evil within,
Any hatred for yourself,
On the road again,
Feeling weak, but strong,
No sound around me,
All hope around you,
Finding myself in this situation
That got me where I am now,
Lost myself and still turning every direction,
Let me work this out on my own,
Let me warm to where I feel I belong,
Maybe I'll find myself in you,
Maybe I'll finally see what you've been through,
Maybe I can fix you, I want to,
But I need to fix me, to find me,
Without knowing yourself where do you stand?
Better, better for me,
Better, better for you,
This garden,
This mountain of life,
The words from our mouths
Don't always feel right.

It's
Better, better for me,
Better, better for you,
It's
Better, better for me,
Better, better for you.
