*The Dark Side Of This Room*

Her love, her disruption,
His hate, his confusion,
Missing confrontations because he woke up late,
Looking in looking out wondering where to hide,
Something's not right as he held her hand,
Pushing for something other than a kiss,
Sum of all the oppurtunities he missed,
Working in working out leaving everyone behind.

Her sweetness, her misery,
His missing light, his pleasure,
Arriving early despite all the distractions,
She's living a double life, but nobody knows,
Promiscuous and wanting all the charms,
Trying hard to figure out what's wrong,
She's not determined just selfish and cunning,
Working in working out to keep everyone on her side.

No right,
Zapped the love from each others heart,
Plain and simple,
Confusion in the dark.

When they met they didn't know each other,
Tension in the heart love in their eyes,
Sitting around brainstorming potential lies,
Sifting and shifting whatever comes their way,
Looking around for any distraction,
For any disruption that may push them away,
Only teens,
Twenty and learning,
So young and naive.

No right,
Zapped the love from each others heart,
Plain and simple,
Confusion in the dark.

*The Only Feeling*

A town is turning to ashes,
A volcano erupts near by,
The hysteria ensues,
Voices dying at an incredible rate,
Down the mountain
Everything falls to pieces,
Up in the sky
Dark; the smoke rises,
Climbing all at the same time,
Falling one by one.

There's this burning feeling
Within their soul,
There's no one near
To save them, to heal them.

A home filled with anyone,
A hole filled with all the dead,
Something in the air is dying,
Nowhere to be found,
Fluorescent lights shining through the room,
Everything so bright, so right,
It's not what happens,
But how you fight through it.

There's this burning feeling
Within the soul,
There's this light I once saw,
But now it's gone,
There's no one near
To save us, to heal us,
Broken-down,
If we're not dead yet,
Then what are we?
Bright lights flashing
And then fade away,
There's something evil lurking in the night,
Why can't we explain it?
Deep down the light is shining one last time,
Anywhere but here,
Plenty and nothing,
Dealing with the demon,
Working on out,
Past the gate, over the mountain,
What was, what should
No longer is.

Judge And You WIll Be Judged

Shredding all evidence
Of past lives and defeat,
Missionaries coming in from underneath,
Trying to seal the soul somewhere beyond,
Always on the run,
Seeking answers for they won't tell,
Waking up near a corpse who refused,
The blood on these streets,
The scars on their bodies,
Crosses and oil,
Who are they to judge anyone?

The dark gray skies,
Blood on the knife,
Through the halls and into homes,
Leaving satisfied
When no one questions,
When no one defies what they believe,
Some burning forever,
But who are they and what the fuck do they know?
Streamlined,
Take what you've got
You know where to put it,
This is a time to live free and question everything,
One of a kind,
Who are they to judge anyone?

When days fall hard upon thee,
Captured and betrayed,
Down on your knees,
Welcomed home without any trust,
Deep and under,
Whatever leads and whoever sees
This storm on the rise,
No more trace of mankind,
What one does or says,
Everyone believes they hold the truth,
Days are numbered,
But who are they to judge?
