Into Flames

She extends her claws in his skin,
And it's over,
He looks into her eyes and whispers,
'Glad it's over,'
The rise of smoke in the house,
And in his lungs,
Virtuous disease, imperfect sounds,
In his days,
Nevermind the ring in the distance,
It will be erased.

And if we just sit back,
And let it takeover,
Maybe it will be better,
Gone in the wind
Where everything meets,
Sun will rise
And we'll all melt away.

What lies in her eyes, in her blood,
Is poisonous for him
The heart of the matter; the hate in the eyes,
Everything pushed away,
Flames in their hearts,
In the corners of the room,
Up against the wall
With those faces rising in the smoke,
In the heart of the ones you hate, you love,
Never be the same,
The noises fade away,
And she dies young.

And if we just sit back,
And let it takeover,
Maybe it will be better,
Be better! Be better!
But if we just hold on,
And let our hopes hold strong,
Maybe it will be harder,
Gone in the wind
Where everyone meets,
Sun will set
And we'll burst into flames.

*A Vicious Cycle*

Not for desire,
Not for pleasure,
Not for anything,
Not even for you.

What am I
If I don't understand myself?
What's the use
If you continue to use me?

Not for love,
Not for money,
Not for anything,
Not even for the world.

What am I
If I don't understand myself?
What's the use
If you continue to use me?

Not for infatuation,
Not for the lies,
Not for anything,
Not even for you.

Lives are changing,
Truth facing extinction,
Pride is efficient
In making me impatient,
People at war,
Politicians are a bore,
This commitment is failing,
This love is trailing
Behind this season of disaster,
With centuries of laughter.

All for the glory,
All for nothing,
All to be the one and only,
All to live a lie,
All to be praised,
All to be remembered,
All to fall apart,
All to be resurrected.

Not for desire,
Not for pleasure,
Not for anything,
Not even for you.

Tensions (and clear deceptions)

Living with this confrontation,
Demons block the light from the people
Who seek help and forgiveness,
Maybe it's the lack of sense,
In the soul where life explodes!

This world is chaotic,
Public attractions are distractions,
People claiming to be saved
By the lies they hide deep inside.

Tensions and clear deceptions,
From those we grow up idolizing,
Hungry and riots breaking,
Laws hiding the fact that
The rich prosper and take advantage!

This world is chaotic,
Procrastination ruining this nation,
Faith ruling the wicked,
This world is out of control.

Pressure leading this life
Into panic and great frustration,
Depression working into the minds,
Will the rain wash away the pain?
Coming to build what was once destroyed,
Now we can all watch it blow up again!

This world is chaotic,
Public attractions are distractions,
People claiming to be saved
By the lies they hide deep inside.

Fade, fade, fade, fade away,
Wake, wake, wake, wake up.

*Fill Her Up*

I wrote this 2 years ago, and it is perhaps my favorite poem/lyric I have ever written. I never blogged it, but I think it is time I did. It is not my best work, but it is a little different from the rest. The last stanza is a recent addition.

Torn, left out in the open,
Morose;
She feels the pain reaching for her hand,
The lights; flickering, blinding her view,
Her status; broken and bent,
The lie in her eyes,
The pain she has been through,
A calm, a wind, the storm
Reaching for her heart,
The pain, the tension
Building within,
Everything taken;
Her freedom, her peace but not her beliefs,
Guided by the hand of God,
But now evil mingles, intertwines
Racing for her thoughts,
Corruption flows,
But it is the world she must overthrow.

Filthy,
Her skin rubbled,
Cuts wide open; blood pouring out,
Silent and left to die in the four by four cage,
Soil fills her wound;
The world turns black,
No light to be seen,
Only the precious darkness surrounds her,
She fights for her life,
She fights in denial,
Beaten; blood spiting out,
To silence her; but she ignores,
Yelling for some more;
She wants anger filling her void,
It is this world she must overthrow.

Abused,
Living with the dirt in the road,
Lights flickering, her eye twitching,
She's thinking of change,
But none shall enter her life,
Now dumped in gasoline,
The president drops a lighted match.

Burnt,
But she left the fuckers with a smile on her face,
Can't take what you can't get,
The idea, the soul, the motivation,
Soon there will be another
Fighting the lines,
Taking pain for a cause,
And soon the truth comes out,
And it is this world she overthrows.

Something Like That

It's when I hold you in my arms,
It's when you smile back at me,
That I know everything's alright,
Yeah, something like that.

It's when we can strike up quite a conversation,
About anything and debate until the morning,
That I know you're someone special,
Yeah, something like that.

It's when we can smile while we look in each others eyes,
Not a single word, yet it says so many things,
That I know I can't ever let you go without a fight,
Yeah, something like that.

It's when everything's turn to shit,
And you're the only one that can help me through it,
That I know I'd be dumb to walk away,
When the feelings burning inside,
And you know something's right when you're holding hands,
Drawing our picture with the light in the sky,
Yeah, something like that.

Something Like This

It wasn't like this,
The lightning struck twice,
And everything just fell apart,
Control was an issue,
Never really got a grip of it,
Had everything just to lose it in the end,
Couldn't figure out how to put the pieces back.

Never lost faith in my fate,
Only in you, and the things that you do.

It shouldn't have ever begun,
This warfare between two,
Allies, enemies, whoever wins
Is guilty of cheating,
Different stories make different alibis,
Words can only take you so far,
Piecing together what is left,
Too many pieces, stories of regrets,
Attempts to conciliate,
Nothing left of anything.

Never lost faith in my fate,
Only in you, and the things that you do.

What has happened wasn't my fault,
Just like old times, I'll never take the blame,
We're in the same boat,
We enjoy pointing fingers,
Makes us feel better about who we are,
Trouble in the heartland,
All about romance,
Until it falls apart,
Until it's not fun anymore.

Never lost faith in my fate,
Only in you, and the things that you do.

What love does to you
When you keep pushing and pulling,
Working on the weekends,
Conversations dying young,
Confrontations are better,
Nothing lasts forever.

Never lost faith in my fate,
Only in you, and the things that you do.
