Update on the Side Project: Sunshine Above the Mountains

"Sunshine Above the Mountains" is shaping up to be something sweet - more or less what I envision it to be. So far I have written five lyrics, which do NOT include "Hit Me," "Dark Horizon," "Plastic at 1:12" or "Light it Up." Each lyric I have written for "Sunshine Above the Mountains" reflects sunshine (my interpretation of it - what it brings. Not anything cheesy, if that is what you are wondering), romantic and a little darkness as usual. I have written one several minutes ago, but I have not come up with a title yet.
I try to make my lyrics open for interpretation, but that does not mean I do not have a theme or point I plan to achieve. I do, but I also enjoy playing around with lines, words and meanings within the lyrics that enable the reader to dissect several ideas, meanings and, hopefully, something they can relate to in life.
My last side project was writing lyrics reflecting on certain countries, cities and so on. Making some connection - a heavy connection, actually. Although I haven't written one for a while, I have not counted out writing several in the future. These lyrics are seen at the beginning of this blog.
As you can tell, I have not blogged as much as I wished in the past two months. However, I will make a greater effort this summer. I seem to be much more focused on writing better lyrics and editing them a lot more; this is the reason why "THAT" lyric is not yet posted (might not be in a long while) and for several others as well.

Light It Up

We are sinners today,
We were sinners yesterday,
We'll be sinners forever and ever.

You can't convert me! (x3)

This whole city is broken down,
This whole world will be engulfed in a flame,
Hell on earth for many centuries,
A whole population taken control by every religion,
Century long beliefs
Covered by the lies and the new elements,
Born a Christian,
But now I realize they try to control my direction,
Every faith has its own demons,
One God to follow,
But here's another thirty,
A fictional master controling our reality,
Yes I'm a sinner,
But so is every faith.

You can't convert me!
Evil is everywhere,
You can't convert me!
Your lies are being exposed.

Yes I'm a sinner,
But so is every follower,
Why so depressed?
You control half the minds,
I control my direction,
The night is deadly,
I'll choose if I want to play this game,
Yes I'm a sinner,
But I won't let you control me.

You can't convert me!
Evil is everywhere,
You can't convert me!
Your lies are being exposed.

We are sinners today,
We were sinners yesterday,
We'll be sinners forever and ever.

Plastic at 1:12

A mind filled with mayhem,
The eyes have met destruction,
And everyday feels the same,
Nothing feeling right,
Nothing making sense anymore,
Everyone's made of stone,
He takes his daughter's hand,
Light tissues,
Her broken dreams,
Plastic tears,
The halo glow above her eyes,
But her arm is torn to pieces.

Wait for me,
This is not where I belong,
I'm not perfect,
But neither are you.

The stool
Where she sits all day,
Opening her eyes to disorder,
Nothing feels the same when she appears,
Plastic tears,
Hollow point,
Empty thoughts,
Shattered vase,
Tainted eyes,
We fear dying,
We fear looking forward,
We fear moving on.

Wait for me,
Is this what I'm supposed to be?

Dark Horizon

From the shadows,
Into your home,
The ticking clock
Is a ticking bomb,
Wasted and waiting
To close in on your prey,
Eyes turning bloodshot red,
Now at a boiling point,
Control is gone,
From the sky,
Your own shadow,
We're all the same.

Everyone's got a dark side,
Each and everyone,
You're tearing us,
Everyone's got a dark side,
Each and everyone,
You're tearing us apart!

Twisted and confused,
It's another march of the pigs,
Humans hunting humans,
Animals seem civilized,
No peace, no silence,
We can't control our urges,
Anything moving is our prey,
Pray all you want
It's a waste of time,
You say we're unique, we must have faith,
And I say we don't need faith to survive,
We're all the same.

Everyone's got a dark side,
Each and everyone,
You're tearing us,
Everyone's got a dark side,
Each and everyone,
You're tearing us apart!

Hit Me (with all you got)

One shot fades away
The memory of the man torn apart,
Crucial time,
Vengeance lurking in the back
Of the mind of the poor family,
With justice in the hands of the judges,
You only know justice won't be served,
The men in blue searching and trashing,
Making this neighborhood feared and hunted,
Rights swiped away from the fingertips
Of the minority, children and women,
Government stealing your pride,
They won't allow you to do what you want to do,
Cash in, cash out,
Two dozen bills to pay,
Only got enough for one,
Some praying for war,
Those who do seek expansion,
While killing the poor and feeding the rich.

Time to take this to the street,
They're coming at us with loaded chambers,
Standing their ground, opening fire,
We'll look into their eyes*
As we're getting up*,
We'll beat them down,
Not beat them to death.

Take your best shot,
Hit me!

With minds brainwashed and abused,
Propaganda hitting the airwaves,
Lies and overload,
Families struggle to live,
While the rich sit out in the sun
Their mansions, fortress and bloody hands,
Taking a shot back,
The cheddar,
Our minds twisted in confusion,
Time to change the ways
When the rich get richer and the poor get poorer,
Another strike, pay your dues,
Centuries and centuries,
Women still looked upon as the weak,
Changes on its way,
No need for guns,
But there is the need for fists, violence and voices.

Hit me
With everything you've got,
We're not stopping until there's justice.

Time to take this to the street,
They're coming at us with loaded chambers,
Standing their ground, opening fire,
We'll look into their eyes*
As we're getting up*,
We'll beat them down,
Not beat them to death.

Take your best shot,
Hit me!
