Charge Her Up

Well so much for writing one poem/lyric a day. hmm. Oh, fuck it. Here's one I wrote at work last night. Picture me singing this with braids (future dreads, possibly. Depends. Standby).

Time to spit truth
That's been chewed up
And twisted inside out,
Spit this fire upon them,
The rage building within,
The injustice in this land,
The laws crippling
The young and the poor,
A warm happy trigger,
Cold shoulders,
Their silent assassin
Putting an end to rights and equality,
Winning the war,
Cashing the prize,
A few million in change a day
Causing a few million to die every hour.

Time is now,
Time to unleash the beast,
Unleash the beast within!!
R-E-B-E-L.

The wire wrapped around
The neck of those who fail to please,
No money, no life,
No land, no honor,
Everything striped,
Bodies bleeding,
Clenched fist, blood pumping,
This disease filing the air,
Their gun clearing the way,
A massive destruction
For a little more profit,
Another hill for them to climb,
Another town for them to burn.

Time is now,
Time to unleash the beast,
Unleash the beast within!!
R-E-B-E-L.

Set, Let's Go!

Hello sweetness,
How is everything?
Glad you're alright,
Now this day can begin,
But you're standing still,
Just silent,
How the wheels turn,
Looking down into the ocean,
This splendid view,
Is there something I should know?
Your eyes scream for help,
Deep down I know something's wrong,
But you won't let me know what,
Don't let yourself
Shatter like this.

Breaking down,
Now's not a good time,
Holding up, bloodshot eyes,
Look at the way we spend tonight,
Confused and shaken up,
This conversations hanging on a thread,
Deep down (x4)
Everything's giving out,
Nothing to fear,
We thrive through the worst.

Camouflage

Long shot,
Hard look,
Times a changin',
Bruised ribs,
A hustler at best,
This scar will last forever,
Hard to sleep at night,
We're on this
Collision course,
Twisted view,
Everything is changing.

Midnight melting mind,
Nothing makes sense to me,
Living long lips,
Nothing makes sense to me,
This head on collision,
Tearing away,
Down, diving down,
Nothing makes sense to me,
Break, burning bones,
That fire in the sky.

Lying Down, Dying Alone

Still seeing the same things,
Living on the streets,
Dying alone,
Wondering about the life
That could never been had,
Leaving it all behind,
Lying down,
The trash is your source,
With everything,
Nothing's ever enough.

Staring at the sun,
Your life seems to fade,
Not knowing when,
But you can hear the ticking noises
Like in a bomb,
Forbidding passions,
Lost entertainment,
Living in the same ditch
Seems like forever,
Nothing's ever enough,
Dying alone.

Everything Tangled Up

The cold in November,
The summer in October,
Out in the rain,
She leads the way,
I'm chasing my own tail,
She believes things will change,
Running in circles,
She lays her head in the grass,
No sun,
Nothing stays the same,
I keep telling her,
It can't hurt,
She's crying,
Now I'm leaving.

Humidity in December,
Summer clothes in January,
Everything collides,
Happiness doesn't last forever,
She does what she can,
But she's lost in the words
Rolling off her tongue,
Living the dream,
But the lies are killing her softly,
Another steep hill,
Oh, she's climbing to the top,
But she can't make it,
She's crying,
Everything tangled up.

Wherever the Wave Takes Her

She walks by the sea shore,
In the middle of the night,
Thinking of commitments
And her troubled life,
The light that dims quickly,
Silently,
A flash of neverending disasters,
Her feet buried in the white sand,
Living a lie,
Fluorescent skies,
Darken tone,
Her decisions crumble,
Lying in a mess,
She'll turn wherever the wave pushes her.

Dropped from the sky,
A layer of sadness
On her tainted soul,
Cradling in the sun,
She's writing down her thoughts,
But they lead to nowhere,
Lying down,
Darker clouds,
The rain begins to fall on her pretty face,
Sense and misery,
Wherever the wave takes her.

Some Things to Mention

Side Project, Sunrise Above The Mountains, is half completed; there are seven lyrics so far. I will be taking a short break and continue blogging some poems/lyrics as seen in my last three blogs. Other than my side project, I will work on shorter poems/lyrics, but at the same time I will continue leaving them open for interpretation. I think I will blog atleast one poem/lyric from my side project this week or the next. I'm just keeping it within a similar theme.
I'm also thinking of taking on another side project, perhaps at the same time as the current side project. As for what the side project will focus on is anybodies guess. Any ideas is appreciated.
Actually, I have thought about blogging at least one poem/lyric per day - perhaps for 15 days straight (to begin with). You know what? I will try this out starting either Friday or Saturday.

That Bullet that Cold Rocked Ya

Mic or the heater,
Bullets and pepper spray,
Flesh and spilled blood,
This bullet cold rocked ya,
Bombs from either side,
A storm that never rests,
Shaded gray,
Monumental catastrophe,
Hijacked; stripped, tortured,
Hijacked; heroes, vigilantes,
Hijacked; shady vision,
Ditches occupied,
Fists clutching crosses,
But a God that never answers.

Salt poured,
Wounds burning,
Clutching your throat,
A million rounds a second,
Bodies filled with holes,
Holy ground,
Anywhere, blood sheds,
People; making choices, freedom,
People; slaved to religion, dark future,
People; confused, seek shelter,
People; starving, dying,
The sky is black,
The hour is stresses morning,
Here come the bombs.

Burning Bright

Glacier,
Storm brewing
Above our eyes,
Mixtures and textures,
Poison in the sky,
Words worth wealth,
Paper bills
We fall like dominoes,
Similar patterns,
The lines in our hands,
Scars and tissues,
What goes down does not always rise.

Sirens,
Yellow and red
Blazing in the streets,
The roaring lions
Ripping our hearts,
Greed, possessors, controllers,
Dropping in the fire
Motherfuckers,
Rocky roads,
Tumble, struggle, fall,
What goes down does not always rise.

Vanilla Sky

Blooming in spring,
Wet roses fall from the sky,
Sparks ignite
Love divine,
Here to hear your voice,
Soothe me,
White lily,
Vanilla clouds,
Your thin astonishing smile.

Deep down,
Steep rise,
Sweet Rose,
Stunning eyes,
Shining bright,
Crimson light,
Still blooming,
Your pinkish glow,
The petals rise
And then they fall.
