Dead Men Walking [8:02]

The madness living in this life,
Broken dreams fill the air with noise,
Listening in on where to go
When everybody's gone,
Selfish actions left you alone,
Deep down you want to tear away,
Burned bridges and blood stained roads,
Looks like last night was a disaster,
Living in scars,
While this city burns itself to the ground,
Not many relocating,
Not many doing anything,
But lead with savage actions,
Words are worthless if your hungry for war.

Looks like we got ourselves a fist fight,
What's new today,
We still got soldiers ravaging these streets,
Prepared for war?
War was last night; look at what we've done,
Stood silent while they rampaged,
Don't kid yourself,
We're as much to blame,
Handprint on the fresh pavement,
Like the aftermath, it will last forever,
Burned crops and severed limbs,
Look at how we take care of ourselves.

Many stood silent,
Staring while the war went on,
Many look for violence,
Well, you'll be dead before dawn,
Look how far we have come,
Forget lessons, we will never learn,
Not too far, who knows how long,
We are dead men walking.

Through the jungle we pursue
Anything moving and good to eat,
Look at what we've become,
Who gives a fuck, I guess we never did,
Never in the right state of mind,
Always hungry for more,
And blind to any good,
Running in the open area,
Looking for anything
To protect us from the cold,
Nothing works, we feel numb,
Written words on the wall,
But who is looking anyway,
Claustrophobic, bullets passing by,
Bodies thump and fill the streets,
And we'll be here wondering why.

Somewhere out there,
Somewhere in the cold,
Someone bleeding on his own,
Night falls, night seems forever,
Never enough to resolve
All this blood on our hands,
Watch the love pass by,
Washing blood to no avail,
All the sinners, all the killers,
All together in one place,
Others pass, others angry,
But keep it to themselves.

Standing tall, standing silent,
Staring while the war went on,
Many look for violence,
Well, you'll be dead before dawn,
Look how far we have come,
Forget lessons, we will never learn,
Not too far, who knows how long,
We are dead men walking,
We are dead men walking.
