Shernobyl

Random lives,
Holding tight,
Bright blue eyes,
One's flying high,
Changing names,
Line in the sand,
Running away
Feels like the best choice.

Nothing felt so hopeless,
Hanging on to broken dreams,
This dirty road
Of hate and misery.

Everything feels disorientated,
Nothing to watch,
Nothing for anyone,
A one trick pony,
A cold winter breeze,
The lights dim, the people cry,
One forgotten town.

Everything is gone,
Everyone is swept away,
A river flows,
But there's no emotions.

A baby whines,
A mother walks away,
Another town so dark and ominous,
Hope shapes itself
In mysterious ways,
One waits, one prays,
One dies,
A figure, a father,
Just lies and corruption,
This river,
This red river.

When we hope for the best,
We get the worst,
When we expect glory,
We get defeat,
When we think too much,
It never happens,
When we look up to someone,
We are disappointed,
Mayhem and confusion
Rule this town,
This town called Shernobyl.
