Americana [3:19]

Americana,
Please let the world know
How you treat your brothers,
How you treat the women
That have been so good to you,
Look at the way you brought
Centuries and centuries of mass destruction,
Complications, less liberation
Of the free mind,
Is your nation really free?
Are we here fighting the same battle?
For the same cause?
For hope or misery?

Look at those children burning themselves,
Shooting themselves with the weapons you supply,
Venemous threats endangering the lives of the sick,
Americana,
Where were you when the poor needed your help,
Or the time free men were marked as slaves,
Branded numbers on their chest,
Was this the civilization you envisioned?
Blood pouring from the scars
That determine their status,
Americana,
Wake up, this is not your life to control.

Working for freedom, then you're working for the lies,
Choked up and hung upside down,
Americana,
Did you see this as a mark of progression?
Their anger in their eyes,
Now writing you letters in their blood,
A dynasty at assimilating
The weak, the young, the feared and the blind,
Americana,
Spit truth is fiction in your vocabulary,
Taking control, trying to master us all,
We know your motication,
We know your cause,
But where is this justice you promised for us all?
