Virginia

She desperately tries to hide
The black scars on her face,
Sunglasses in the middle of winter,
Her eyes were bright and beautiful,
Now wrecked and full of sorrow,
Her whole life,
Emotions locked and forgotten,
Absorbing the pain,
Until the day she died.

The lies she made
To protect this beast,
Her life was maimed
Because she didn't believe.

Struck and used
To satisfy his pleasures,
Her life covered
With sin and darkness,
Drugs filling her soul
To seclude her pain,
Not refraining; she feels ashamed,
Thinking of dreams and fears
Until the day she died.

More drugs in her system
To fill the void in her heart,
Her life was maimed
Because she didn't believe.
